Underprivileged Kids Left Out of School Carnival

As a person myself who grew up with limited income, I know the value of a dollar and understand that the parents I'm certain wanted their kids to enjoy themselves, but just couldn't afford it...or by chance religion, According to the article which I will post the links. The school over charged those who were able to attend anyway. My God, hearing the joys and laughs while the (let's just say it) poor watches some ole dumb movie...that they've probably already seen. I there were tears and sad faces. It also mentioned that one student thought they were being punished. Technically the school did punished them 'cause of their limited income.
On another note, it had to been planned in advance and the school already knew the income of the students parents 'cause it says they only had enough prizes for those who paid.
There were a few faculty members that were sadden by the outcome. The paid kids also received stuffed animal 'cause they were able to pay, but one teacher refused to give them out 'til she could add her own gifts for the underprivileged. Kudo's to her.
The carnival kids were also treated to popcorn afterwards so as not to hurt those who were punished 'cause of their income. Like they didn't hear the screams, laughter, and chatter outside. They're underprivileged, not deaf...though they're may have been a non hearing student at the school. I don't know.
I agree. The carnival was held during school hours making it FREE for all. The gold diggers should have waited 'til after school hours, or planned it on the weekend.
