This is a picture I got from the internet.
You will need:
- Ramekins (I was lucky and found mine at the Dollar Tree.)
- Box of raspberry gelatin 3 oz. or 85 g (I got 2 boxes.)
- 1 cup of water
- Frozen mixed berries (I'm allergic to strawberries and was lucky to find a bag of raspberries and blackberries) 1 1/2 cups
- Plain Yogurt 1/2 (but I just added the whole thing. I used the Yoplait Raspberry flavor)
- Whipped cream 1/2 cup
- Fresh raspberries, for garnish
1. The recipe calls to add parchment paper to circle the inside of the cups which I didn't do, but it still came out just fine without. In a pan boil your water completely before adding your gelatin and then stir until jelly is dissolved. I added one cup of cold water as the gelatin box says and only one. And then add your bag of berries (I added the whole bag, so that's why I needed the second gelatin.) Stir until it starts to thicken. It might take a bit of time 'fore it does, but keep a check on it. Be patient, it will thicken.
2. When it finally thickens add your yogurt. and let it chill for 20 minutes until it sets.
3. Beat whipped cream in a bowl until it stiffens. I just used a whisk. Fold into berry mixture. (but I ended up mixing it in. (still came out just fine)
4. Freeze for 2 hours. Remove parchment paper if you used it after it freezes.
5. ENJOY.
Option: Garnish with raspberries (or whatever your favorite berry) and whipped cream.
Note: The whipped cream will give it a bit of sweet taste to this tangy dessert. So in honesty, if you can't deal with tangy desserts, then this is not for you. I thought it was super delicious. This was my first souffle.
